Synopsis
A story of a young carpenter, Shigeji, based on a novel by Yamamoto Shugoro. Shigeji loses his parents and his family’s shop in a disastrous fire. While working hard to rebuild the family business all by himself, he raises nine children who have been orphaned by the fire. The drama portrays Shigeji’s struggle between working and helping others and in the pursuit of righteousness.
