Lam Mei Lan who lives in Hong Kong, is determined to cast aside all her problems and return to her grandfather's fishball noodle shop to help out. Unfortunately, the shop is no longer the playground of her childhood. The delicious fishball noodle can only be found in her memories. Faced with city redevelopment, her sickly grandfather could only silently accept things. Mei Lan wants to keep everything, but found that she lacked the heart and strength.
Tao Tetsuya from Tokyo, is the new generation of Japanese youths who works part-time, lives in internet cafes to escape from tradition and his parents' grasp. Because of his ex-girlfriend's little cat, he happened to enter Hong Kong, met Mei Lan, and had several clashes with this straightforward girl who speaks Japanese.
An old shop that is full of human touch and her grandfather's insistence on taste, caused him to think of the place called home. He also recalled his father's insistence on the traditional udon and quality of ingredients. As a foreigner, he starts to reflect on his past, and is determined to work hard with Mei Lan for the old shop's sake, and create a bowl of fishball noodle that everyone can feel happiness.
